Unlimited Prayer Frontiers (2012-today)
In 2012, several South African believers that have been involved in strategic prayer projects for and in the nation of France, came together to ask God what the road forward should look like.
In the 11 years of doing strategic prayer journeys into France under the banner of UPF (United Prayer for France) God has taught us many things about the successful planning, execution and completion of prayer journeys into a foreign country. We learned much wisdom and insight into getting believers to work together in groups in order to effectively and safely conclude strategic prayer projects of this nature.
It became clear to us, as we sought the face of God that the time has come for us, not just to impact the French nation with prayer, but to take the knowledge and experience we acquired over the last decade and apply it in many other nations so that the last day harvest of souls can be released globally.
Thus United Prayer for France became Unlimited Prayer Frontiers - a network of likeminded believers that comprehend that prayer is the 'Great Condition' to the fulfillment of the 'Great Commission' of seeing the gospel transform nations to the uttermost parts of the earth.
United Prayer for France (2005 - 2012)
United Prayer for France was established in 2005 by South African believers that have been involved in several projects into France, including ministry work and prayer tours.
They developed a passion and desire to see the French nation return to God. As South African Huguenot descendants they discovered the rich spiritual heritage that came to South Africa through a small group of French Huguenots that landed in the Cape from 1688.
It became their goal to invest back into the French nation through prayer and other endeavors, so that the French might rediscover the pure faith in God that once flourished in their land.
As Huguenot descendants we believe it is our duty and responsibility to pray for our land of origin. When the nation of France rejected the move of God 300 years ago the world was enriched by the numerous believers that fled to other countries. As explained in Romans 11 the French (just like the Jews) has caused the nations to be blessed through their rejection of God.
Rom 11:12 (AMP)
"Now if their stumbling (their lapse, their transgression) has so enriched the world [at large] and if [Israel's] failure means such riches for the gentiles. Think what enrichment and greater advantage will follow their reinstatement!"
We believe that the world will be enriched in a much greater manner when the French receive God. God still has a great end time purpose for France and we want to contribute in seeing this becoming reality.
France is seen today as a country needing re-evangelization.
Secularization has become a movement in France of which the sole objective is to confine faith and its expression to the private sphere. Today, barely two percent of the French nation can be counted as Evangelical Christians. We therefore believe it is time for the spiritual children of France to return to the soil of France and re-ignite the hearts of the French with the revival fires that had to leave France 300 years ago.
This is not a work that can be accomplished by the ability of man, hence we believe the best way to go about it, is to establish a flood wave of sustainable prayer for France. We have heeded God's call for the French nation and we invite you to join us in this endeavor.
Leon Coetzee has been in fulltime prayer ministry in Pretoria, since 2000 and has a passion for prayer and intercession. He believes that strategic Spirit led prayer has the ability to impact and transform nations.
Leon has gained much experience and insight into praying for nations and has been involved in strategic prayer teams into other nations from 1998. Since 2001 he has participated and coordinated yearly prayer and ministry teams to France under the banner of "United Prayer for France (South Africa)" - a network that was established in 2005 to raise op South African believers, especially of Huguenot descent, to commit to minister into and pray for the nation of France.
